Third baby... its a girl!

Yes, the title says it all! I had a baby girl! Not confirming 100% till she's born! It's a GIRL! You know, being unsure for 10 months of the gender feels like this.

Is anyone still blogging here? I find it amusing I only get to update this forgotten piece of mine during postpartum time. It's because this is the only free time I have. I had free time though but I reserve them all for other ''more'' important stuffs; baking, cooking, scrolling for recipes and all. After all, we had our farm cafe opened for a year already! Facebook: Samporee Ig: sampo.ree

Some days are totally reserve for preparation. I left with some days of not doing anything but definitely not turning on the laptop to update my blog. I played a lot of stories on my ig, and facebook though, if you are interested, follow me ! ig livinginthehillside

Enough said, let's move on to the title. The detailed story of my birthing journey. I felt that I wanted to document this here because I might get old and forget, I can always read back and rewind the painful experience of mine! Provided that blogger still exist

My mother in law joke while we were feasting on a delicious korean barbeque I wished to eat before I gave birth. My mum was there too, she's going to help with my postpartum journey so she arrived, 2 days earlier before the day. So we settled for a scrumptious korean meal with my parents in law. She joke, "Do you remember last time we had nice japanese food to celebrate father's birthday before you give birth to Anan?".

"Yes, I do." It really happened, just like what she said. (Actually I was expecting too :/)

I gave birth the next day after feasting on the happy meal.

First mild contraction started at 9 am in the morning when I was about to cook lunch. Based on my birthing experience, it will come slow and steady. I counted, last birth took about 7 hours. This time should be shorter, I supposed. So the pain still bearable and my firstborn was still in school. The pain started to grow, it was about 11 am. My husband was by my side and he decided to get our son out of school earlier and we had our lunch together and putting them to sleep before we went to the hospital. It was 1 pm exactly when we left the house with my mum taking care of them.

The pain was on and off, the duration of my contraction remained to be 10 mins interval for the longest time ever. All my intervals are long, but my contraction pain is intense at every interval. Everyone's experience is different, but for me, its this way and all three births they are similar. The intervals don't grow shorter over time, but the intensity increases. That was how it was.

I reached the hospital. It is an old hospital, I heard that this hospital has a famous bidan (mid wife in Malay). This hospital has no operating theatre so forget about getting caesarean (I guess) and I myself choose this hospital. Only those preggers (healthy preggers) who doesn't have history can only give birth here. I asked the doctor, she said I'm allowed to go any hospital to give birth, so I went here!

Contractions came in between and I was checked for dilation. It was only 2 cm dilated. Huh, 2 cm since 9 am. Such a long journey to 10 cm, I pondered. Then I was brought to the normal ward to wait for more. 1 hour in normal ward. The nurse told me, "coop like a prawn, it will be quicker." So I did. I'm wondering what if I suddenly give birth in the normal ward because its freaking pain. I didn't know that I was being watched though. They looked normal to me, didn't really bother about me lying there. Not too bothersome about me, so I'm worried.

Little did I know, they suddenly approached me and said "jessie, let's check for dilation." They were actually constantly checking on the pain level based on my face. From 1 to 10, I think mine was 10 all the time -.-!! because I was closing my eyes every time the pain strikes.

I was 4 cm in an hour time. And the doc said. let's go to labour ward.

I lied on the bed for 2 hrs before giving birth. The nurse inside told me, "Kalau nak bersalin, mesti kena sakit." which I thought its true. The way she let me know, reassured me. Everytime the pain came, I call for my baby's name, please be good to mum -.-! The doc checked on me again for the last time, 6 cm. I'm not sure when the water breaks. It broke so much during one of the contractions in the labour ward. I told the nurse so much water coming out. She said its fine. Before this. for two births, all the fluid was man-made which means, it doesn't break naturally.

Still waiting. Suddenly the nurses asked me, "is your husband out there?". I think so. Not sure if he's out there. The nurse looked at my genital, she didn't think I can wait till 10 cm to give birth. She was asking me to "teran teran, boleh?" I don't quite understand what she meant. She said, I will ask your husband to come in. The pushing happened like, in 10 mins time?

I don't know what happened literally other than following what she told me to do. When the contraction comes, she said just like how you defecate, do it. "Macam berak!!" Both of my legs positioned like frog. and literally pushed the baby out! My husband was just beside me, giving me encouragement. Its funny how after we talked about what happened in the labour ward. My husband just entered the ward and literally I pushed a while and then he said the head came out and the body also came out. Just a while only. He was like, huh, so fast? It was his first time watching live giving birth despite he has two sons already, I myself also never watch wor

This time, its a blessing in disguise. Little did we know that, this hospital specially can let husband enter the labour ward and watch, the nurse in kkm told us. The Chinese doctor who always scan me was surprised that I went to hospital bukit mertajam to give birth. I told her, " Juak si! >.<" (meaning super hot

Hence, my baby girl was born! I saw my baby was thrown out on the bed, just like how I watched the video of a cow giving birth. Except that I don't have to lick her after :') I watched my placenta coming out for the first time. We had two boys already and the moment the nurse showed us the genitals, they literally looked like two balls. We were confused we told the nurse, huh, "boy?" They laughed at us, "girl la!"

If you know it, you know. If you get what I meant.

Took this in front of our farm cafe; Samporee, important period of our life!

Coincidentally I had the brown dress, and they have the similar shirt we bought from Cameron trip

My body is getting back in shape, recovering from the expansion and contraction, mentally stable more, physically active, breastfeeding game getting used to it, my household getting some upgrades, I bought new racks for my succulent plants, window shopping stuffs, getting new ideas for samporee menu. Arranging agendas before my mum going home to Sarawak, getting fullmoon gifts ready, thinking of these making me feel more alive and happier though because confinement period is so bored and you are forbidden to do anything -.-!
